Founded in 2017 as a BioPub spin-off, WriteWise is the first company to apply Artificial Intelligence towards providing specialized, in-depth feedback on the writing, editing, and publishing processes for scientific articles. Without doubt, WriteWise will be a valuable tool for students, researchers, and academic publishers worldwide.
In less than one year, WriteWise has accomplished several key milestones, including:
Establish a robust collaboration network with experienced entrepreneurs, linguists, and researchers in education, AI, NLP, and deep learning.
Raise funding and receive support from prestigious international and national institutions (Microsoft, MIT, CORFO).
Begin prototyping, with user-testing planned for the near future.
Exponentially expand the WriteWise team, which today includes 12 members, 8 of whom hold a PhD.
Lay the foundations for market entry, with sales expected as soon as 2018.

WriteWise has been trusted and funded by prestigious international and national entities. In the past 6 month WriteWise has been awarded USD$400,000 in competitive grants, including 3 CORFO projects and being incubated and accelerated by ImagineLab of the Microsoft Innovation Center. WriteWise is also part of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) International Science and Technology Initiatives.
